Matt Aiudi picked up his first bass at the age of 12 when the music scene in New Britain, Connecticut was nearly non-existant and a band was out of the question. Now, 7 and a half years later with much practice, patience, and dedication, he has developed his own unique style with influences ranging from bass players like Billy Sheehan and Victor Wooten to musicians like Derek Sherinian to Steve Vai to Planet X to the Dave Weckl Band. Matt found these groups and artists to be extremely inspiring and helped create an endless amount of material for him. Matt wanted to use this material to make his solo album that at the time had no title. The blending of fusion, progressive metal, funk, spacey grooves, and ethnic influences showed his musicianship and his "outside the box" writing style. With so many musical styles touched on he finds himself writing new music everyday! Matt has always played for the simple pleasure of creating songs he enjoys playing along with other great musicians for all of his friends and fans as well as being able to enjoy listening to them in his free time. "I've always wanted to be my own fan." He currently resides in Connecticut at this time but is deciding on moving to California in the near future.
